Completing a PhD

Every year, around 250 PhD students work in our research laboratories. About 50 defend their theses each year.
You have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) or are currently doing a Master's degree and  would like to complete a PhD in one of Institut Curie's laboratories:

  •  if you are a French student, you can look up the offers of thesis contracts of our labs or directly contact the team you are interested in to know what possibilities exist for joining that team.
  • if you are a Foreign student, you can apply for thesis projects in the frame of Institut Curie's IC-3i international PhD Program. An online application system enables candidates to apply during the call for applications.
  • if you are a physician, our PhD Grant for physicians can be of interest to you if you plan to do a scientific thesis in one of our labs.

All PhD students benefit from annual thesis committees, which provide an opportunity to assess the progress. This committee is implemented with the mentors of their host unit.
PhD students also have access to all seminars, courses and training programmes related to their research subject and those of the Institut Curie, as well as to specific courses on cutting-edge techniques and general workshops for career development.
