NGS / U900 - 2013

The U900 offers a course in Next-Generation Sequencing and data analysis to the staff of Institut Curie, Centre of Research and Medical Section. The training is dedicated to biologists and bioanalysts interested in analyzing their own sequencing data and will cover the main NGS applications (DNA and RNA-seq).

Organizers: Nicolas Servant and Vonick Sibut

Dedicated to all the people working at Institut Curie.

Selection on the first come, first served basis
Theoretical part: 60 persons
Practical part: 20 persons

Lecturers:
Theoretical part: Nicolas Servant, Séverine Lair, Quentin Leroy.
Practical part: Nicolas Servant, Aurélie Teissandier, Marine Jeanmougin, Romain Daveau, Valentina Boeva, Virginia Bernard, Séverine Lair.

Introduce the concepts of analysis of data from NGS to allow users to be more autonomous in the early stages of the analysis.

Be careful! Choose Group 1 or Group 2. No possibility to mix
Registration compulsory for the 5 days!

At the end of the course, the trainers will be able to present their sequencing project, the challenges and the main steps of the data analysis. They will be able to manipulate the data files and to use the Galaxy environment to apply a first level of bioinformatics analysis on their data.
