I will touch upon some of the critical issues of data management at scientific service facilities, like performance of intermediate storage, network bandwidth, de-central versus centralized processing, data transfer versus remote access, virtual machines, remote viewing, modularity and scalability, integration into pre-existing network architectures, compatibility of open source and popular software solutions, data de-convolution and data compression, intermediate versus long term storage, data integrity, risk management and maintenance.
I will present solutions that have been developed by Acquifer and briefly introduce some of our reference costumer sites.
In the second part of the presentation, in-depth technical questions that may have remained unanswered during the first part of the presentation and a discussion about future requirements will be moderated with Acquifer's development team.
